Nigerian Senator representing Cross River, Rose Oko dies in UK

A female lawmaker representing Cross River State in the Nigerian Senate, Rose Okoji Oko, is dead.

She died on Monday night in the United Kingdom at the age of 63 after a protracted illness.

Until her death, the lawmaker was the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Trade and Investment.

Oko’s death is the third since the inauguration of the ninth senate.
